Readonly access to all hosts, all hostgroups

Is there a magic button anywhere to allow granting readonly access to all hostgroups without manually having to specify all the hostgroups being added to a given user group? The two most common use cases I have is r/w access to absolutely everything (Zabbix Super Admin) and r/o access to absolutely everything. The latter is a real pain to maintain.

I have wondered the same. Not that I know of, but I'd be interested in someone else saying so.

In beta ZBX 1.7, you can select several / all groups at once, that should make the things easier.

I would still like an all-read access permission. Especially since the update where actions rely on proper permissions. We have multiple users for different types of media which is really a problem with the new permissions structure. If we forget to add a user (media) to a group, they don't receive notifications.

          Several asked for this before.

In 1.4 there was the option to also use node-based permissions.
This allowed for 'all' of the node.
          It was removed in 1.6

It would be great to have this back, for several reasons.
I.e. an admin (not super admin) with read/write access to a node instead of just hostgroups, would be able to do everything in the configuration tab, but not the administration tab. Great

Please bring back the node permission
