    Overview screen suggestion

    Hi,

I think that I already read a suggestion like that, but, I didn't found it searching. Since I'm really miss it, I'll left my opinion...

If we could select the items that are shown in overview, it will be great (for instance I only want to see cpu load (5 min avg), network traffic and swap)

Now, if I go to the overview screen, it will show all items (data or triggers) to a specific group. If this group has to many hosts and if you are monitoring too many items, the screen will take ages to load, and will be difficult to read.

    TIA,

    Bob

So instead of starting a new thread, I will put my similar request here.

What about for the Overview page, having a filter for only problem triggers? That way, when the Overview page renders, it only shows those computers and triggers that have problems which decreases load times. This also this scales easily with the number of hosts.

I am thinking of a filter along the lines of the [Show Disabled] and [Hide Disabled] filters in the Configuration>Hosts view but it could be more sophisticated in the future to hide a certain threshold of problems.

This is different from the Dashboard because if you have a group of say 50 machines that go down instantly, this filter mechanism would show them all while the Dashboard is not designed to show a large number of triggers firing.

This is a slightly different solution to the problem posted above. What do you think bobrivers?

      Monitor Overview Suggestion

I have used Big Brother for years (transitioning to Zabbix).

I would love to see a version of the Monitor page showing only rows and columns that are non-green/non-empty.

BB has that as a default and was the most useful view for a sys admin (page of all the issues to review). Since it is not a list (unlike Dashboard) it is very easy to see how many current problems you have, and decide which ones to attack first.

I think that would be nice to have any kind of filter in overview.

The idea of filtering triggers, is nice too. If you have a large set of monitored items, you just want to know what's wrong.

But, if you want to compare, thing, you also will need to see everything. It this case, the hability to choose a small set of items would be great.
