Unable to create graphs 1.8.3

Hi All,

I have recently upgraded to 1.8.3 but have lost the ability to create graphs.

I have since changed back to the Front-end of 1.8.2 and am now able to find the option under configuration | hosts --> graphs from the drop-down.

Could you confirm where this feature has been moved to?

It is under Configuration->Hosts. You may add multiple custom graphs per host by clicking on the Graphs (N) link.

Is there any reason why the drop-down box was removed? The Zabbix 1.8 Network Monitoring Book by packt publishing references this in several places.

Hi,

Before the upgrade I used to create some graphs which pulled values from several hosts. If the gui now only allows grpahs "per host", how can this be done?

I've don't see the UI benefit in remove graphs from the config menu .. maybe they could have put under screens|slideshows ...

you can still create graphs that include items from several hosts - the first item you add to a custom graph must come from a host, not from a template.
in that case graph will be listed under all hosts whose items it includes

Zabbix book revision for version 2.0?

Will there be an updated book for release 2.0.

I am sure there will be lots of enhancements worth putting to press. Also a lot of knowledge can be distilled from the experiences of users of this forum.

In my mind this would also be great in further pushing out knowledge in how to do things with Zabbix. Especially considering the difficulty in figuring out what are the expected values for all the input boxes in triggers, actions, etc.
