System Maintenance

We have Virtualized System with xenserver technology. We do VMs backup with script on xenserver host qith linux bash. Wil be very usefull to have a command line system to start and stop Maintenance for every VMs at shutdown/backup/startaup time.

Although I haven't done a lot with it so I don't know if it will actually do this, but Zabcon might be a solution for you.
It aims to be a Zabbix commandline console and I believe it works via the Zabbix API interface.
