We are an ISP that provides connectivity to several thousand customers. I am evaluating Zabbix to replace our Nagios environment.
I discovered that presently, (v1.8.5) the Maintenance definitions are for only Host Groups and Hosts.
We have a large number of interfaces we probe on our routers. Each interface is a customer T1, DSL, DS3, etc. Whenever we need to delay notifications (within Nagios) we can select the interface and schedule downtime for either a fixed time, or flexible duration for just that one interface.
Within Zabbix, I see no way of us moving forward without the same ability; scheduling a maintenance period for individual triggers. We have roughly 10,000 interfaces probed per router. How do ya'll large deployment guys handle this?
There is a Zabbix Feature Request already filed - If anyone thinks per-Trigger Maintenance periods makes sense please login and vote on this!!
And if anyone has any suggestions on scheduling periods of time on a per-trigger basis in the mean time please let me know!
