triggers by number of results instead of seconds

    Hi,

I was wondering about a thing in the triggers. You specify a number of seconds in the expression like max(120). If you change the interval then you have to change the trigger accordingly. Would it be possible to think about a maxr(2) for the maximum of the last two results gathered for the item, regardless of the time.

Do you think this can be usefull ?

    regards,
    Ghislain.
    Regards,
    Ghislain.

It makes sense. I was thinking about something like max(#5):

max(#5) - max of five values
max(600) - max of values within 600 seconds

yes the # seems better than doubling all the function's name, i wonder if the sql for that will be quicker or slower than per seconds.

Also we have to be carreful in the event of no answer or no results for a period of time as this kind of trigger test will not see that there was no results since 2 month for an item

      best regards,
      Ghislain.

It has been implemented. Supported functions min(), max(), avg(), sum(), delta().

        Example: min(#10)

        Will be available in 1.1beta7.
