Unlinking templates leaves item on host?

We've typically exported the template then used the Delete and Clear button in the template. Doing it this way does require you to re-import the template.

Yes, it worked too. But it's not very convenient. Isn't it better to have a checkbox to unkink and clear the template from the hosts ?

I think you don't get it.
The patch doesn't modify the host configuration screen. The "unlink" and "unlink and clear" buttons are still there.

However, how do you unlink and clear a template from several hosts at the same time ?
Without the patch, removing the hosts from the template configuration screen only unlinks them. The items don't get cleared. The other possibility is to go on each host to unlink and clear the template. But it's a pain!
The patch adds a "unlink and clear" checkbox in the template configuration screen. This allows you to unlink and clear a template from 100+ hosts at the same time.

In zabbix 1.8 or still in 2.0 was possible to do such changes over Configuration->Hosts-> check few hosts and do mass update. Now is possible to only replace one template by another one. Ihave no idea why it was removed because choosing hosts from whole hosts list from Hosts tab is IMO more natural than moving host in small dialog box.

To be hones I'm not sure is it would be better to have radio button (unlink<>unlink and clear) instead checkbox.

All my mass changes I've did when I've been using old zabbix. Now I'm only replacing one template by another one.
