Host name alias (feature request...?)

I've run into a situation where I need to give, let's say "non technical", people access to view Zabbix screens and host information. Most of our computer names are just asset numbers and I would like to provide them an alias for these names so it's easier to read on graphs, dashboards, notifications, etc. I know I can change the "hostname" in the agent config file, but that could get cumbersome for a lot of systems. Luckily it's just a few I need to share, at the moment. I didn't see anything in the host configuration screen already, so if I just missed it, feel free to tell me to RTFM.

I'm running 1.9.6 and this feature has already been implemented..
It seems you have to wait a while before it becomes stable.

yep, it's called visible name, it will be available in 2.0 and you can use full unicode there as well (normal hostname is limited to alphanum, space and some other characters)
