Zabbix Proxy on Thin client

Hi,

I relativly new to zabbix. I would like to create a standalone device functioning as a dedicated zabbix proxy. I a'm thinking about a Thin Client with a linux distri.

Are there some suggestions regarding this, or are there complete solutions for this?

Your question is overly broad. I would suggest becoming more familiar with how Zabbix performs and the performance requirements of the proxy under various loads. From there you will better be able to determine which database to use on the Proxy as well as the best hardware to use.

I'am currently testing with a alix2d13 pfsense+zabbix proxy.
Let's see how this goes, the proxy has about 30 connected agents.

I've done this successfully on old Neoware thin clients. The ones I used had x86 processors and a fairly standard bios etc which made it fairly trivial. I used Voyage Linux (based on Debian) as it's small and designed for running on embedded devices on small flash memory cards. The thin clients had 512mb SSD's built in, so this worked great.

1. The first thing we have to do is set up an item on our Zabbix server. Go to Configuration | Hosts and create an item on your proxy.
2. Use the following parameters to create your item.
3. When you now look at the latest data, you will see the last access time from your proxy on the Zabbix server.
