Problem: Items of type "text" don't display correctly if data is formatted with space and or comma separated values. This is because the font used in the front end isn't a fixed width one. This makes it difficult to view text that is formatted into a table with tabs/spaces.
Solution: When "text" is selected as the type of data in the item, allow us to check a box to "use fixed width font". The front end would know to set the font used in the style of the history table cells to something like courier.
Update: I realize you can click on the "as plain text" button to view the values correctly but you then lose the ability to move around the timeline quickly. If the item type is really considered "text", then I almost wonder if the history table should default to plain text? In any case, having an option like I mentioned above would be great.
