I am thinking of a flexible way to fetch config-files from devices running a zabbix-agent.
I can write a script on my device that can be called from the zabbix-agent and that will then send the config-data to the Zabbix-server.
I could use "text" for "type of information", but I don't think it can cope with, for instance, a gzipped tar-file.
Couldn't Zabbix be enhanced so it can receive binary data?
