Maybe I am missing this but it seems like there should be a way to immediately put a host into maintenance manually or set a host to maintenance without creating a window. I would almost rather be able to turn the maintenance mode on with a switch on host groups and hosts than having to setup maintenance windows as much of my maintenance is on demand. I have noticed at times when creating windows, they would not active if they were too close to the current time.
