We cannot reproduce it. When reporting about SMS related problems please provide us with the following information:

1. Version of ZABBIX
2. Non-modified log file with DebugLevel=4. You may want to hide sensitive information though.

Please don't remove "ppppp:dddddddd:tttttt Read buffer [*****]" messages!

The beter way is show us "all" messages (near sending) from sender process. To do this you can filter messages by PID "ppppp:dddddddd:tttttt Message"

Hello all! the same problem... Zabbix 1.4.1 (frontend 1.4.2), Debian Etch r1, Nokia 6510, RS-232 interface cable. Send SMS from Gnokii without problem, but Zabbix reports in Alerts - "Read something unexpected from GSM modem. Expected [OK]" Any ideas? thanks!

Solve it by other way, Remote command + gnokii

Please can you try sms.c from the latest pre 1.4.3. We made quite significant improvements in the SMS code.

I´m getting a new server for my Zabbix, as soon as got it, I install the 1.4.3 and post the results
