Monitoring Autoscaled Hosts in EC2/ AWS
We have partially developed a solution using agent registration and a custom script to add the correct hostgroups and templates. There are user parameters on the hosts that defined the hostgroups and templates. Chef installs the agent on each node and starts it.
Just curious if anyone else has worked on a similar solution regarding monitoring autoscaled hosts where the IP range is unknown prior to the hosts spinning up.
