Import / Export tool for templates.

    Hi

    Thanks for this great product.

I would be good to create a place on zabbix web site where users can share their templates (hosts, items, map, graph) with other user.
And a tool in the web page to import and export this kind of file??
So, if somebody create a special template for a specific router or serveur with special data, he can share it with the community.

    What do you think it?

      This is needed

I am a consultant, and we have multiple sites that run Zabbix, we really need the ability to export and import templates. There is nothing more frustrating than repeating the same task over 30 times to keep the templates the same at all sites.

Has anyone written anything to do this?

Did you ever finish this? I'd love to see it if so.

          Thanks.

We already have XML Import/Export implemented in 1.3.x. No need to invent anything

This is best news which I heard in last time!!!!! This will make zabbix most popular monitoring tool at all. Maybe I am wrong and zabbix already is best )

Are you planing some export from 1.1.x ? Or should I write something for myself? I will need to upgrade and test

              best regards,
              Lukas

We won't provide upgrade scripts from 1.1.x to 1.3.x until very latest betas.
