Incorporating the best of both worlds? Grafana and Zabbix.

Zabbix can integrate into literally any DevOps escalation process and ticketing system. I want to know who is out there using it to the max capability. Looking to hear some real world use cases, and perhaps a few tips on how you pulled it off.

At first I thought that I could use Grafana as an escalation system- but shortly after that, I realized that I could not alert on specific Zabbix alerts which rendered that theory mute. Looking for open advice on this one...

I have no idea how to apply this preface to zabbix context.

Most of the people trying to use zabbix and grafana together are not aware that zabbix can already do what grafana does and excpt some small presentation layer differences there is no really need to marriage those two type of software.
Another fact is that zabbix development is highly driven by critical mass of needs of the users with commercial support.
