I understand that dependencies already exist among triggers, but I have need for it on items as well (preferably done in such a manner as a disabled item will cascade to disabling the trigger also).
For example, I'm monitoring bandwidth on a cisco device using SNMP. Several items are used to create the % utilitized, one of which is interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifInOctets. However, ifInOctets only exists if another item, connectorpresent has a certain value.
Why does this matter? Because it messes up the graphs and is filling up my log file with value #2 has unknow type [81]
