    Feature suggestion: tranasaction support

Zabbix 1.1 version used tables of type InnoDB. This given tables support transactions. Use transactions at addition of data at a level of unit will allow to raise perfomance. Since now transaction is carried out at a level of item, at it's performance at a level of host will allow reduce quantity of transactions.

What stuff would you carry out as an transaction?, transactions follows the ACID properties. ACID stands for Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, and Durability which considered to be the key for transactions.

It would help with holding the database consistent under an change ofcause, and make the system more robust, but it is definately not faster than not using it.

Transaction support is already in not-yet-finalized ZABBIX roadmap. This has to be implemented in order to guarantee consistency of data. It also may be used for better performance in the future along with other modifications which would allow use of bulk data inserts and updates.

Not out. Extend transaction from item to host. It's add better perfomance. It's reduce transaction numbers.
