    New VMWare monitoring items

    Hi,

The VMWare monitoring feature is really nice. However, I would suggest adding these items to the possible checks, which are relevant in a VMWare environment :
    - CPU Ready for VMs
    - swapped memory for VMs and ESXs
    - disk latency for VMs and ESXs

    - IP addresses and hostname for VMs, as reported by the VM tools via the API

    Thx

Also to be able to add template on a VM espacially if we can have the IP from VMware API.

Can be usefull also to have a way to do our own host grouping

You can add a template to a VM afterwards. Or you can add the template to the VM host prototype in the discovery tab of the "Template Virt VMware" template. but it will add it to all the VMs.

What would be great would be to collect the :
      - folder of the VM ("prod", "dev", etc) -> would allow to automatically classify the VM in a host group and link it to the appropriate templates.
      - hostname/ip address of the VM (especially if it is different from the VM display name) so as to monitor pings, network services, etc easily.
