    more database support

    Hi,

I read your roadmap, but you don't speak about database support.

Using unixODBC should be good to provide more database support, simplify code and to port zabbix to windows.

what do you think about it?

If you check ZABBIX Forums, you won't find any evidence that users need
support of more databases. Someone mentioned SQLite, you mentioned UnixODBC. I just don't feel any interest from community...

I agree with alexei, I think the current database support is adequate. I've never even heard of unixODBC...

The only other database that might draw a significant crowd would be Postgres, but due to using InnoDB on MySQL you already have rollback support.

Support of PostgreSQL will be part of 1.1.1 or 1.1.2.
