    Howdy,

what about AJAX Graphs and/or Screens in this version mentioned above?

please not, keep the web-interface as simple as it is.
Sure, AJAX might be handy from time to time, but well:

massive java-scriptn(m)ess, which makes the browser slow
and might leave me with a broken page if JavaScript is
disabled. It is simply not well portable through all
browsers if not done well etc. etc.

Simply search the web for ajax benefits/problems, you
will find enough reasons why you not want to have ajax
stuff on a web-page if its not necessary.

it could be just an option like --enable-agent or something like that

then if you don't want it, you're not forced to work with

I tend to agree with Abi. Yes, AJAX is cool and all, but we are trying to follow our main principle "keep things simple". Simple things do not break. Perhaps AJAX-enabled interface will be part of ZABBIX at some point, currently I do not feel it adds any significant value to the product and its usability.

There are many other more important things related to GUI that have to be addressed prior to thinking about change of underlying technology.

I understand yours and Abis arguments.
But in any way, it would make sense. If you have Screens with many graphs, refreshing might need to much time to display. And exact overview isn't given.

For sure, now you say: Break down your screens to many ones. But this makes no sense if you want to have a good overview.

But in any way, now I know your statement(s) and must have to accept this.
