Zabbix Proxy

Hi All,

Im not sure how to configure zabbix proxy.

for example my scenario will be the following:

1 Zabbix Server
1 Zabbix Proxy
2 Zabbix agent or host that are monitored.

so 2 host are monitored by zabbix proxy and zabbix proxy is monitored by zabbix server.

I think theres something wrong with my design

the question is:

Am I still going to add the 2 zabbix host agent to zabbix server or just the proxy?

There's nothing wrong with your model.

You need to configure the SERVER IP on the Proxy, and the PROXY IP on the Agents. So, Agent notifies Proxy and Proxy notifies Server.

You need to add the Proxy on the frontend (Administration -> DM). Then, you add the hosts to the frontend as usual, but specifying that you are using a proxy. You can also use AutoDiscovery to automagically add the hosts.
