Request: Zabbix repository for CentOS/RHEL 7

    Hi!

As you may already know CentOS 7 was released recently. It's using new init system - systemd. It would be nice to see new zabbix repositories for CentOS/RHEL 7 with systemd support as soon as possible.

    Thanks in advance!

I've already checked it. 2.2.3 is the latest version there.

I would like to request this also.
The versions in epel are usually behind the versions in the zabbix repo. This is also the case for the el6 repo:

        Code:
        [root@zabbix ~]# yum info zabbix{,22}-server
        Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, post-transaction-actions, security

Zabbix 2.2 packages from epel 7 have vanished

The packages from epel have vanished. Perhaps they are building a newer version but in any case there does not seem so be a decent zabbix repository for CentOS 7 currently.

Why not use the Zabbix official repo?

Of course, Zabbix would also need to create a RHEL 7 branch but the configuration would be more consistent. The ones in EPEL have poor configuration layout that is not the same as official even in the "latest" 2.2.3. No /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agent.d/ just a symlink to /etc/zabbix-agentd.conf. strange why they would do that.

latest 2.2 version, 2.2.6, seems to be in epel : http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel.../zabbix22.html

I think that's why this thread is requesting a repo for RHEL 7. I found myself quite disappointed when I went to install the Zabbix agent on my new CentOS 7 server and didn't see a '7' directory at http://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/2.2/rhel/ ...

I'm also requesting an RHEL7 repository.

We will start using extensively CentOS 7 and RHEL 7 soon, so a repository it would be a good idea.
