Bug with ping6 on non-ipv6 connected host

    Hello,

I just moved my Zabbix installation from a VM running Ubuntu 12.04 to a real hardware running Ubuntu 14.04.

Since this migration, my icmppinglost check to www.google.ca return 50% packet loss. Even if ipv6 is disabled on the zabbix host, the zabbix server continue to try to use ping6 to check www.google.ca (it makes the check with ipv4 AND ipv6 = 50% packet loss).

I emptied the Fping6Location parameter in the zabbix server configuration and this fixed my problem.

I think Zabbix should detect if the host is ipv6 connected before trying to use ping6.

Don't know why this bug didn't occurs before the migration. Maybe something changed between Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04.
Working...
