I note that there are quite a lot of gaps in the HP agent.
I don't know if you're aware of libstatgrab (I've no affiliation) http://www.i-scream.org/libstatgrab/
They seem to have a lot of data gathering facilities for most Unix variants also GPL so I guess you could borrow code/link with it.
Minor note, doesn't currently build out of the box for 11.23 but just needs a change in the configuration script.
If we find time how do you feel about borrowing code from it and submitting a patch to add more HP support to the agent?
