Features: Nested Group

Currently the Group allow only host to be connected.
I hope you can consider to allow nested Group with example below:

GROUP: BLDG1
- GROUP Core Layer-RM1001
- HOST: RTR-BLDG1-CORE GW1
- HOST: RTR-BLDG1-CORE GW2
- HOST: CON-BLDG1 -CORE MGMT1
-GROUP Server Farm-RM1002
- HOST: BLDG1-LNX-PXE1
- HOST: BLDG1-LNX-PXE2
- HOST: BLDG1-AS-1
-GROUP ESXi Farm-RM1003
- HOST: BLDG1-vCenter67
- HOST: BLDG1-ESX1
- HOST: BLDG1-ESX2
- HOST: BLDG1-ESX3

GROUP: BLDG2
- GROUP Core Layer-RM2001
- HOST: RTR-BLDG2-CORE GW1
- HOST: RTR-BLDG2-CORE GW2
- HOST: CON-BLDG2 -CORE MGMT1
-GROUP Server Farm-RM2002
- HOST: BLDG2-LNX-PXE1
- HOST: BLDG2-LNX-PXE2
-GROUP ESXi Farm-RM2003
- HOST: BLDG2-vCenter67
- HOST: BLDG2-ESX1
- HOST: BLDG2-ESX2
- HOST: BLDG2-ESX3

Hi,
If I understand you want some group hierarchy, correct?
This is supported by naming convention of the group, not placing groups inside a group.

example of group names:

All/
All/Bldg-1/

All/Bldg-1/Core

All/Bldg-1/ESXi

All/Bldg-1/Server

All/Bldg-2/

All/Bldg-2/Core

All/Bldg-2/ESXi

All/Bldg-2/Server

You can then apply this to dashboard for example.
Monitor problems in "All/Bldg-1" will results problems in that group and "sub groups"

Hope this is what you wanted to achieve.

Hi Oskare,
Although its possible; it is not effective to manage the grouping as need to attached each host per each different name group. While a grouping can save a lot of time to manage the grouping at anytime you want.
