Discussion thread for official Zabbix Template Internet Information Services

This thread is designed to provide grounds for discussion of the official Zabbix Template for Internet Information Services.

This template draft makes use of the item key:

service_state

To quote the docs:

This item is supported since Zabbix 3.0.0. It should be used instead of the deprecated service_state[service] item.

If it would use

service.info[service,<param>]

instead, it would interfere with the official Windows OS Template for Services Low Level Discovery, as I suggest that most Windows Servers with an IIS will also link the Windows Template, to check for high CPU or full disks:

I'm not able to import this template into Zabbix 5.2.2

I am getting the error "Unknown metric service_state" for service_state[WAS] and service_state[W3SVC]. Checking multiple servers, both service appear to be running. I am running Zabbix 5.0.16 and Zabbix Agent2 5.0.16. Any as to why zabbix is not correctly monitoring these services?

I have also similar error, but WAS service is not necessarily present. I can confirm it on several hosts.

Strange thing: I wanted to update the template, but it was generated for Zabbix 6.2... Something coming up???

Hi. I have exactly the same error on latest Zabbix version. As far as I can see, there is no update to the aforementioned IIS template.
