I'm in an intership in a french society, i had to decide between Zabbix an nagios. Big Brother is in use now but they want to change. Zabbix is a really grat product (the source code is very clean, it's great
), but one of the wish of the numerous users are to have a overall view of problem in the host in a certain group.
for exemple:
Group nt server:
services: ping ftp http oracle
host_1 ok ok ok ok
host_2 ok ok ok ok
Group unix server:
services: ping ldap sshd
host_3 ok pb ok
host_4 ok ok ok
I think it is possible with maps but I (they in fact..) would like to have this page update when they had a group/host/service.
The page tr_status.php can be change to show this information in this form. I think this can be usefull to grab users from "big brother" or "nagios".
A link can be add near "[Show all triggers] [Hide actions] [Show details] [Select]" (maybe [overall view]). I can try to make a script if you want and you say me what you think about it.
