Plotting SMTP counts

Hi
Is there any way to have the SMTP chart in zabbix? I mean the counting emails sent out by the server (on port 25) with the time periods similar to system load, cpu and memory utilizations?
I searched about that but I see configurations for sending alert emails from zabbix server to admin.

zabbix does not inspect protocols, in particular smtp. To count the number of emails you need to collect statistics from your smtp server
