For autoregistration and active agent the hostname must be unique. As far as I can tell there is no way to make that automatically select IP address in HostnameItem. Since that will always be unique it makes sense to be able to do that automatically. I currently assign the IP address as hostname manually.
On a related note, this should also support IPv6. Currently I cannot use ":" characters in the hostname.
