Discussion thread for official Zabbix Template MSSQL

This thread is designed to provide grounds for discussion of the official Zabbix Template for MSSQL.

Hi, Overall, the latest models are very good models. But I see some design limitations with regard to these models with the Text and Log fields (65536 characters). You can see the limitation in the ticket here: https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-18451
Maybe an idea for improve the template is to create with a LLD Database a master items to request performance counter per database and lighten the main request.

Hi, fairly new to Zabbix but shouldn't this template be designed to run on an agent rather than on the server? If I have agents on the SQL server it makes sense to me to also have the checks on it that way problems etc. are tied to that host object.
Could this be adapted to run on an active agent?
