    Discussion thread for official Zabbix Template Oracle

    This thread is designed to provide grounds for discussion of the official Zabbix Template for Oracle.
    The template and details of the template is available in GIT repository: https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/.../oracle_agent2

    Please note that this template requires Agent2 with compiled with Oracle support. ( https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/.../plugins/oracle)
    To learn about Agent2 please see the documentation: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...oncepts/agent2
    Additional videos describing Agent2 are available on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWj2pk_I-rI

    An alternative option for oracle monitoring can be accessed with ODBC template, which is avaliable in GIT repository: https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/...db/oracle_odbc
    Zabbix is always looking for ways to improve our services and to make our users happier.
    We pride ourselves on doing our best each and every day, but we know that there is always something more to learn.
    We would like to hear back from you to know what have you liked and what would you improve in the template.

    ODBC-Template works good for me. Had to grand more privilegies to zabbix_mon (we use Oracle 12.1)
    GRANT SELECT ON dba_free_space TO zabbix_mon;
    GRANT SELECT ON dba_data_files TO zabbix_mon;
    GRANT SELECT ON dba_temp_files TO zabbix_mon;
    GRANT SELECT ON v$pdbs TO zabbix_mon;
    GRANT SELECT ON V$RESTORE_POINT TO zabbix_mon;
    Will monitoring of RMAN-Backups be included in some future release? With checks for long running Jobs, failed Backups, ...
