Feature request: Transparent area on map that can be used as a normal object

    Hi everyone

I have a feature request but it is only a small thing so probably not going to be something very important. However I thought I could ask

We have lots of maps in zabbix, used by different teams to have graphical feedback of their part of the environment

Now, a few maps are for instance specific servers or access points that are placed in the plants. For this, we use a floor plan of our company with the access points or servers placed on the floor plan where they are situated in real life. We then place an icon over the floor plan and attach that specific host to the icon. However this means per host there are now 2 icons, the one already on the floor plan and one placed on top of it to be able to attach the host to it, this is quite messy in appearance

We would also like to be able to offer a very broad overview of our plant which has areas that can be clicked and link to another map with a more drilled-down view of that particular section of the plant (so with an URL attached to an icon)

All this would be much cleaner-looking if we could put a transparant area on the map that behaves like an object, so we can attach a host or a URL to the transparant area. So that is my feature request, the ability to put transparent areas/objects on the map that can be used like a regular object. And yes, I know we could load in a transparent picture and use that as an object, but that would mean we have to load in a picture for every size of transparant area we would like to use, that's a solution but it would be nicer if that were built into zabbix

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. And thank you for providing such an amazing tool, it has provided us with so much insight into our systems it is invaluable to us!

    Take care
