    multiple ip address - icmpping/icmppingsec

IIt should be really great to be able to specify the target IP address when using icmpping and icmppingsec (for example : icmpping[@IP]). By default (when using bare 'icmpping' or 'icmppingsec'), the IP@ used it the one defined for this considered host. But sometimes, we want to check alternative IP@ too.

In fact, for virtual network addresses check on a cluster, this could be really helpful. I did not find how to check multiple IP addresses excepting playing with UserParameters (or system.run, but ...).

Could this 'IP@ selection could be done for icmpping/sec' for next (1.1.3) release ?

    Multiple IP checks

Just create a new host for each IP.

That is a workaround, not an exact solution. I feel it would be better to have a optional IP@ for icmpping[sec], the way other zabbbix_agent related checks are (say: net.tcp.port for example).

Perhaps, this (optional IP@ parameter) could be done for other 'simple' checks too.

      Cheers,

This functionality already exists! Every simple check accepts optional IP address and optional port number.

I have to ask, HOW??? I've tried:

            icmpping,192.168.2.3 - Simple check

            and

            icmpping[192.168.2.3] - simple check

            all I get is:

            Not supported ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED

We're about to buy a support contract for your product, but would very much appreciate some help getting it setup. I have many remote hosts i need to send an icmpping to asap.

            Thanks,
