Hi,
Zabbix currently supports the "When active" field for defining when messages are sent. Also, zabbix supports the escalations, so sending a message when the event occurs and every 2 hours after that is possible.
However, we use an e-mail to SMS gateway and we have a specific requirement that a message is not sent during the night (from 23:00 to 06:00) but when something has happened for instance at 05:45 we still would like the message to get sent at 06:00 and not be delayed until 07:45 (first escalation).
This feature is not currently supported. One way to realize this would be to delay notifications and sent the last escalation as soon as the start time (06:00) arrives.
Another way to realize this (perhaps easier) is to use a more rapid escalation (say 15 minutes) and configure the media for the user to require a minimum time between escalations.
Anyway, a delay feature like this would be a great help.
Cheers
Erik
