With 800 or so Zabbix items it seems like there is always something that has not been configured yet or is down for power saving or maintenance so just looking at RED ZBX or the problems tab lists a myriad of issues that aren't really issues or are known.
Is there a way to trigger some sort of special alert ONLY when things change from good to bad ? The acknowledgement of reported issues doesn't seem to work well or intuitively and doesn't move things off of the problems list or downgrade their severity from what I can tell.
So I have all of these systems and lets say 100 are in some sort of red state. I want to be triggered when stuff that is currently working stops working without being hassled by all of the stuff we know isn't working due to one of many reasons and was probably never working yet.
