    SMTP check incorrect?

    Hey,

I am having troubles with the "simple SMTP check" the thing is that not all SMTP servers post anything upon connect and according to the rfc they aren't really supposed to (still MANY smtps actually do).
As far as i can see the the smtp check in code runs some function "tcp_expect" where it sends a "220" command to the SMTP server.
Im not sure but i think it is supposed to send:

"EHLO <hostname>" instead, according to the rfc SMTPs are supposed to answer on this command and this command is supposed to be the first in a SMTP session.
When i tested this manually (telnetting to the smtp and issuing commands) this worked, i got immediate response from the SMTP which didn't respond immediatly on 220.

    Regards,

    Simon

My bad... it works the way it is supposed to... when contacted the server is supposed to reply 220 Ready.
    My apologies.
