upgrade from 2.4 to 3.0 - in which order should be upgarded all components

Hi,

We have zabbix v2.4 and I am preparing the plan for upgrade to v 3.0.

zabbix server,DB(mysql percona 5.6),web installed on separate servers
in additional, we have 17 proxy servers and 8000 zabbix agents installed on (centos , Ubuntu, windows, Solaris)
all the components installed/manage via puppet

in which order should be upgraded all components ?

(?) :
1. zabbix server/DB
2. web
3. proxy
4. agents


Can proxy v2.4 continue working with zabbix server v3.0 ?
Can zabbix agent v2.4 continue working with proxy v3.0 ?

1. Server and Proxies: all should be upgraded to 3.0. Stop everything, upgrade proxies, upgrade server, run everything.
2. WEB
3. Optionally: agents

We keep backward compatibility of agents since Zabbix 1.0 released 12 years ago. Sure, any agents will work fine with 3.0.
