Suggestion for configuration of item

Would it be a nice feature to have the possibility to pinpoint the update for an item on a specific time? For instance, we are monitoring our scheduled nightbackups using SNMP combined with shell-scripts. It would be nice if we could check such items once a day at 07.00 AM.

Run cron script and send result via zabbix_sender

ZABBIX beta code already supports flexible refresh rates of items, i.e. different refresh rate for different time and day of week. It is not exactly what you need, but might be helpful.
