    AWS by HTTP

    Hello,

I'm testing the AWS by HTTP monitoring template.

The AWS environment I want to monitor with this template has resources deployed to multiple AWS regions.

As I see in the documentation, this template supports specifying to which AWS region the script will connect to perform the inventory via Macro.

What I could not find in the documentation, and I was wondering if it would be possible, is to set multiple regions in the MACRO, so we can create a single Zabbix host to hold the template.

    Do you have any suggestions?

I appreciate any assistance you can provide.

    Kind regards,

    Emerson Navarro

I guess you need multiple hosts. One per region... And macros defined on host level, so you could use same template.

      Hi cyber,

      thank you for your reply.

Yes, that was my original guess as well. It is not the ideal, because we will end with too many hosts as we have too many accounts. But at least this is a good start... Maybe, in the future, the script could be enhanced a bit to support looping over multiple AWS regions.

Unfortunately, I don't see a way to submit such idea in Zabbix Gi
