Can someone please explain why the agent now does a check to www.zabbix.com, what is the purpose and can it be changed or stopped?

I believe it checks www.zabbix.com only in case of you run it to test all supported parameters.

No, it is hardcoded. I think I will change it to http://localhost to avoid any issues with firewalls, security policies, false alarms, whatever.

            It was replaced by 'localhost'.
