I originally posted this in the help area, but it appears this functionality is not available. I found a post from one year ago that asks for the same enhancement ("Misleading effect of trigger dependency on network maps" by Jurgen). Please consider enhancement.
I am creating a pilot program with Zabbix 3.0 on Ubuntu 14.04. I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to have dependents show as unreachable. For example... if I have 20 devices monitored and 5 of those are dependents of one other device. When that one device is down (ping check) and triggers as unreachable it does not show the dependents as unreachable. I then have to remember or look up the info on all 19 devices to see which are downstream from this so that I know the scope of the outage.
I would like the alerts suppressed on the dependents, which it does, but would like to see that they are unreachable (PROBLEM state) and not show as OK.
Thank you,
Will
