    Action message Test Buttons

    Hi all,

It would be very good if in each action made had a button to test it, instead of wainting for the trigger to be TRUE to shot the Action.

Amen! I was building a trigger the other day in which the only way to test it was to kill the service, and when I did the trigger never worked, but that's another post.

I was just going to suggest this feature. I would love a way to test a trigger or an action (using a pseudo trigger). It would help make sure alerts, message bodies, and recipients are correct.

I agree that would be a great feature.

          couldn't agree more

          [edit]
          to be complete.
it's not so hard to test a trigger by changing te expression over and over again

it would be nice to have a test function, so you could enter values and to see what the trigger would do with those values
this probably, is something different then what this topic was started for

True, one gripe is that you cannot test if you have an email account setup correctly, unless you force a trigger which is connected to an action.

I agree this would be handy. I tested it last week by setting up Iptables to firewall off one of my devices to see if I got an alert when I lost contact with it.

I agree. We need this functionality too. Would be nice if it will be in API or Commandline too.

Great idea, be sure to mention it in the thread for V1.8
