Veeam Backup and Replication by HTTP template discovery rule 'undiscovers' items

I am using the Veeam Backup and Replication by HTTP template to monitor my backups.
It works great but the items and triggers get 'undiscovered' after a while.
This seems to be because the id used by the LLD rule changes. Another issue is that multiple items a created for the same job because retries do not carry the same id.
Why is the id used for the discovery rule and not i.e jobname. Jobname seems to be more persistent.
What is the reasoning behind using a non persistent id? Can I change the id to jobname? Will this cause other issues?
