automatic template upgrade, please?

I'd love to have a script updating all "official" templates by the current version in git (on the right branch, of course), without GUI and tons of mouse clicks to walk through the sub sub sub directories again and again for each template in turn. Something automatic. Less painful.

Having to update all templates in the GUI again is the major obstacle for me to not look into Zabbix upgrades much more often. Its way easier to stick with 5.0 .

This would be a very good idea, given that the new versions use the same item names etc

I like your idea but I guess it's not a easy job to implemente a such functions because it will have lots of versioning/merging tasks to do.
