I was disappointed to discover that the current Zabbix SMART disk monitoring template was unable to monitor the health (wear levelling) of my SATA Samsung SSDs that I use attached to a RAID controller running in HBA mode because I'm running ZFS.
I was worried that I might have to learn Zabbix properly to implement this myself but I was spared from more dev efforts by this
I have tested it with Zabbix 6.0, Ubuntu 22.04 and Samsung EVO 8XX SATA SSDs attached to a Dell PowerEdge RAID controller running in HBA mode.
I have opened a ticket to recommend they adjust the Lifetime / wear levelling trigger or maybe they could add my advice to the README?
