I am in the process of designing a rather large network map for my site - one thing im really noticing is missing is the ability to drag multiple items or group multiple items together so they can be manipulated as one object.
my network map is particularly long (tall) so when adding new items i have to drag them one at a time down the very long map - such a pain.
also if my network changes and need to move a cluster of devices say all those attached to a switch to an alternative place on my map to make room for some expansion I have to drag each icon individually.
you can already multi select - so why not allow dragging once you have several items selected ?
