How can I monitor an application in a server without zabbix agent ?

    Hello Everyone,
We can monitor our application servers using SNMP with Zabbix, but we cannot monitor our applications' data through SNMP since installing agents on the application servers is prohibited. In this regard, how can we monitor our applications' metrics? Is there any guide about that?

SNMP checks and zabbix agent are completely different data request technologies - do not confuse them!
What metrics can be obtained from your application is up to you. If the application is just running on a computer, you can't do without intermediaries (like zabbix_agent, like snmp_agent_extension and etc) in collecting metrics. If the application was written by you, embed in it the sending of metrics to zabbix.

If you cannot add anything to your application server, then it becomes kind of a black box... Getting metrics out of that depends only on that application. Either that application should present its own metrics as webpage or over API query, or you can run some scripts over ssh towards it and gather something. But if that app does not give out anything, then you are in the dark...
