Store/provide credentials to agent workflows on windows (Moving from SCOM pain)

    Hello
My work now is to move from SCOM to Zabbix

About 1200 win agents and 400 linux

One of the biggest pain comparing scom and its makes me cry :
    • Zabbix cant store creds like domain accounts and cant make it available to monitoring workflows - i mean system.run for example

So almost first task i have - to monitor smth under some domain account on multiple servers... but i cant!

Only i can - is to install one more service on agent and to run it under account i need - its brilliant solution in 2024

SCOM have runas account technic for it

I think lots of people will breath free if runas will be implemented...

Hello, I think you could solve your problem with Macros. To do this, go to Administration -> Macros and define your domain user and password there (in Macros named like "{domain-admin}" and "{domain-admin-pw}")
I would recommend you to chose the Secret text option or to implement a vault.
It should be very worthwhile for you to watch this documentary:

Then you just have to store the macro on your hosts or create a template where the macro is stored.

Please let me know if this suggestion helped you, as far as I understand it, this should fix your problem.
