Service state and discovery on non-Windows platforms

I would like to hear the views of others on this, with my intention being to create a feature request on the tracker.

SystemD is probably the best hope of getting this working on multiple linuxes as it seems like it would offer a unified way of assessing whether a service is running and, if it's not running, did it stop running "normally" :-)

I've already asked to Alexei Vladyshev for this feature, he is agreed that this will be useful because systemd is a widely-used mainsteram on linux platforms.

But i dont know whether this will be implemented without some activity from other zabbix users. Zabbix feature request will be exactly right place to declare our interest on this feature implementation.
